Queen City Sampler Guild

Welcome!

The Queen City Sampler Guild is a nonprofit educational organization whose purpose is to promote the art of sampler making, both historic and contemporary, the study of sampler history, and the preservation of antique samplers. We are based in Cincinnati, Ohio, although our members are from all over the region and the country. Cincinnati is also known as The Queen City, which is how our name originated.

Upcoming Events

See the Calenders on the website or your Newsletter for times and locations for each of the 2012 meetings and workshops. If you need directions, check the Meeting Locations section of the website. All locations have a link to Google Maps to help you get to each one.

Saturday, May 12, is our next All Day Stitch-In and Meeting. Member Ann Madges will share her historic reproduction pockets collection and will give a brief lecture about their construction and the materials used in them. The meeting will be at Christ Church in Mason. Check the Meeting Locations of the website for the address and a link to a Google Map. We will be meeting from 10 AM - 4 PM. BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch!) - We will be meeting in the room we have used before--in the downstairs parlor, instead of upstairs, as previously announced.

Sunday, June 10, is the deadline for getting your registration in for 1819 Reproduction Mexican Sampler with Eilene Cross. The class will be August 11 and 12. It's an amazing sampler, so don't wait too long! The signup sheet is in the latest newsletter. A picture of the original sampler is below.
