A Word about our 2008 Programs:

Welcome, to our program offerings for 2008. We are happy to offer Guild Members several programs featuring some of the finest teachers known in the United States and internationally. Upcoming events include:

Saturday, August 23, 2008 – Guild Tea Party/Daytime Stitch-In at the King Activity Center from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Ladies, pull out your best bonnet and white gloves and please save a spot on your calendar to attend the Guild Tea Party! There will be stitching, admiring our members’ finished projects, and finally at mid-afternoon, we will be serving Tea and light edibles. Of course, one must drink tea from a very special tea cup, so please BRING YOUR OWN CHINA TEA CUP so we may serve your tea properly! We will have the Styrofoam variety for those who forget to bring their cups! In addition, if you have a neat “tea story” to tell, we’d love to hear it. Please bring your own lunch (there is refrigeration in this meeting room) or you may run out to pick something up.

It is with GREAT excitement to inform you that Jacqueline Holdsworth will be coming to visit our guild next month!   Jacqueline is from the United Kingdom and is visiting the states in September and has graciously added us to her schedule.  She will be presenting programs on various collections to which she has access in England. She will have lots to tell and show us.  Of special interest is the Goodhart Sampler collection, for which she has just completed a book which will be available later this Fall/Winter.  You can see more about the book and other publications and stitching charts on her website:   http://www.needleprint.com/

The date of the lectures/program is Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 10 am to 4 pm with an hour break for lunch.  The location will be Kings Activity Center in Lebanon at Otterbein.  This lecture will be free to all guild members, but guests and non-guild members will be asked to pay $10.  You may bring your stitching to work on and share with the group, but the room will not have tables set up for working. Please email Adele Grout with any questions.
